My Best Friend's Wedding (1997)

Staring by Julia Roberts (Julianne Potter), Dermot Mulroney (Michael O'Neal), Cameron Diaz (Kimberly Wallace), Rupert Everett (George Downes)

"When a woman's long-time friend says he's engaged, she realizes she loves him herself.. and sets out to get him, with only days before the wedding." (IMDb)
MICHAEL: Jules, I’m getting married this Sunday.
JULIANNE: Michael, it’s Wednesday, you can’t possibly be getting married on Sun...
MICHAEL: Jules. I’m scared.
JULIANNE: Well, maybe we should talk about...
MICHAEL: I need you. If you can’t come and hold my hand, I’ll never get through this.
“Tell him that you love him. Bite the bullet.” –George.
“If he were feeling what I'm feeling then he would know how it feels.” –Julianne.

And this is one of my favorite scenes:

Passing the Michigan Avenue Bridge, Chicago River. A day before the wedding day.

MICHAEL: You’ve sort of been the woman in my life.
JULIANNE: You’ve been the man in mine.
MICHAEL: I was thinking this could be our last time. Alone. Together. You know?
“When you love someone, you say it, you say it out loud, right then. Or the moment.. passes you by.” –Michael.

Then they were dancing, their last dance maybe, with their song, The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra.

In the end, Julianne realized that her best friend already got the right woman. No matter how hard she tried to find the bad things inside Kimmy, or tried to proof that herself is much better that could take Kimmy's place, she just couldn't do it.

“I woke up and I see that the world is just as it should be. For my best friend has won the best woman.” –Julianne.
